Rose wakes up to find herself trapped in a mental hospital where she's been the past three years. Apparently the Doctor, the TARDIS and her adventures in time and space have all been the product of her imagination. Hasn't it?
When Rose starts hearing about a special ward, and it's only patient who happens to have two hearts, Rose isn't so sure which is the fantasy and which is real.
Should she really be rescuing her friend from clutches of mad scientists or upping the medication?
Time is running out, and the choice is apparently hers... but which one to make?

Rose smiled as she stretched in bed. She could hear the distant noise of the Doctor tinkering in the TARDIS console room. She sat up and rubbed her eyes, wondering what adventures they'd find today.
Except something wasn't quite right. Rose glanced about the room. The blank white walls and door with a window didn't seem familiar. She got out of bed quickly and stood up. She was in plain white pyjamas as well. It was like someone had sucked all the colour out of the world. Carefully, very carefully, she went to the door. It was locked. That definitly wasn't right. This wasn't the TARDIS, she could tell. It didn't sound or smell like the TARDIS and there was no singing in the back of her mind.
She jumped as someone opened the door.
"Ah, you're awake Miss Tyler," a woman in a nurses uniform stood in the doorwar. "Here's your morning medication, and breakfast is in the dining hall when you want it."
Rose frowned. Medication?
"Where am I?" She asked confused. What on earth had happened? And where was the Doctor?
"You're in Saint Hilda's hospital love, remember?" The nurse put down a tray with a little white cup containing two pink pills on the bedside table. "Been here three years now."
"What..?" Rose shook her head. "But... no... I was with the Doctor..."
"No dear," the nurse said gently holding out the pills and a cup of water. "You just made him up, remember?"
Rose took the pills and water, but didn't swallow them. The nurse opened the bottom draw in the chest and pulled out some pieces of paper. They were all drawings of the TARDIS and the Doctor.
"See? Just pictures dear..."
"But..."

It had started innoculously enough. They'd landed on an asteroid market belt so that the Doctor could get some trinkets he needed for the TARDIS, and Rose being Rose.. had wandered off. The next thing he knew some massive wide beam transmat had operated in the immediate area and a quarter of the population had vanished. Including Rose Tyler. The Doctor rocked back on his heels as he awaited the arrival of an official who, apparently, could explain everything.

Rose couldn't believe what was happening. How could the Doctor not be real? She remembered everything they'd done together like she was remembering a christmas or birthday. It had to be real. It just had to. She put the pills in her mouth in order to get the nurse to leave, but as soon as she was gone she spat them back out. Something fishy was going on.

The 'nurse' rounded the corner and into her boss. "She's suspicious, but we've got her wondering." She reported "Excellent. Keep me updated. She's not a native, but hopefully we can get his whereabouts from her." He said. "Sir!"

Rose looked at the pictures again. No, if she'd drawn these... if she'd made it all up, she knew she'd remember. Standing up she walked slowly towards the door, glancing up and down the corridor.

The Doctor was not a happy man. Which usually meant that someone, somewhere in the galaxy was going to pay. The official had merely said that raiders had kidnapped his companion, along with the others, and that the circumstances were unfortunate. Unfortunate! He was currently languishing in a cell having punch said official out, with the promise of release once he had calmed down.

Rose wandered down the corridor slowly and stepped into what was clearly the canteen. There were a couple of patients sat at tables dotted around the room. She frowned slightly. What on earth was going on?

One of the patients, a woman, looked up and smiled at Rose with shocking teeth. She looked like she had seen better days, and as Rose stared at her she made a circular motion with her hand as if describing a circle in the air. She looked almost pityingly at her - looked like she was going to speak, but instead started yelling at the top of her lungs.
"NEWCOMER ALERT! ALL UNITS RESPOND! ALL UNITS RESPOND!" She shrieked as orderlies raced towards her, to get her under control.

Rose jumped. Oh dear... she wasn't going to like it here. She had to find a way out. Find a way to get back to the Doctor.
