Whilst on the planet Cesca, the Doctor and Rose become seperated. When they're reunited Rose discovers the Doctor is acting stranger than usual.
The TARDIS doesn't seem to like him either, and as time goes on Rose realises that this isn't the Doctor at all...
Something has taken over his body - can Rose help get him back? Or will she be his next victim??

There were loads of people here now, thought the Doctor, glumly. Loads and loads... he had meant to bring them to Cesca pre industrialisation in order to show Rose a natural beauty unlike any other - but the TARDIS had goofed as usual and overshot by a few milennia. Now it was buildings and tourists and not so much as a leaf in sight, let alone a tree.
The Doctor sighed, and stuffed his hands in his pockets as he watched Rose bargaining for some piece of jewellry or other. Thankfully he had had the right currency.
His gaze wandered idly, and he noticed a gathering of sorts at the far end of the square they were currently in. He watched as they seemed to turn as one, heading towards their square. Then he noticed that not all of them were looking friendly - it looked like a scuffle about to get out of control.
He went to call out to his companion, but was swept away by another group which had swept in from behind his side also, under his field of vision. Caught up in the crowd, he tried to see Rose or at least call out to her.
"Rose!" He yelled, his voice drowned out by the shouts of a hundred others. Somewhere in the melee a hand clamped itself over his mouth and he was dragged out of the crowd and down into darkness.
His last thoughts were of Rose.

Rose turned round. She'd finally got a good price for the jewllery and she knew it would make a perfect gift for her Mum. Carefully pocketing it, she looked up expecting to see the familar face of the Doctor.
Except he wasn't there.
Rose frowned slightly, looking round the square in case he was looking at one of the other stalls, but there was no sign of him.
"Doctor?" She called out.

Hours seemed to drag past but to the Doctor it seemed like a single moment glued in time. He appeared to be trapped, much like a fly in amber, and he didn't care for the analogy one bit.
-----
"Rose! Rose Tyler?!" Came a familiar voice as the Doctor strode out from behind one of the many stalls. He stood hands stuffed in his pockets, scanning the crowds for his missing companion, then spotted her and waved.

Rose sighed with relief and ran over to him. "There you are!" She said. "Thought you'd wandered off and got into trouble then!"

"Me?! Get in trouble! Rose Mary Tyler would I dump you on an unknown planet a billion light years from home?" He grinned disarmingly and gave her a hug.

OOC: quick question, was the mistake in middle name intentional?

Rose looked at him oddly. "Mary..?" She asked bemused.

"Yes, but we won't hold that against you! So done looking around here? Thought so!" He grabbed her hand again and pulled her in the direction of the TARDIS, eager to be gone.

"What's got into you?" Rose giggled. "Have you hit your head again?"
She smiled slightly remembering the last time the Doctor had tried to fix the TARDIS, dropped a hammer on his head by accident and spent half the morning telling her the same story. Three times. And it had been quite a long story.

That drew him up short. He turned and regarded her seriously. "Why? Do I sound different?" He demanded of her

"You... well I dunno... I guess... and my middle name isn't Mary..." Rose frowned slightly. "Are you sure you're alright?"

He switched expressions like lightening. "I'm always alright. Although I might have hit my head... Never mind eh. Back to the TARDIS for a cuppa coffee.." He murmured almost to himself, rather than to his companion.

"Where are we off to next then?" Rose asked lightly, deciding not to push things for now.

"TARDIS. Like I said" He strode off in the opposite direction to where they'd left the TARDIS though.

"Well... I meant where IN the TARDIS," Rose began. "And the TARDIS is that way..?"
She pointed over her shoulder.
"Doctor... you're starting to worry me now..."

"I'm fine. Always fine. Right as a trivet. Come on." And he all but dragged her through to the TARDIS.

The TARDIS didn't seem to want to demateralise it. The Doctor had been trying for the last twenty minutes, but the old girl wasnt having any of it.
