1) Story Format
First off, write your RPG post in a story format, like so:
The Doctor ran around the console and typed in the coordinates as the TARDIS lurched.
"Hang on!
2) No Character Bunnying
This is the phrase for controlling a character that is not yours. Don't do this without permission from the player. Don't do this:
The Doctor ran around the console and typed in the coordinates as the TARDIS lurched.
"Hang on!"
"What do you think I'm doing?" said Peri, as she followed him around.
3) No impossible posts
Your character is not almighty, so don't try it. For instance, this cannot happen:
The Sontarans attacked the Doctor but he was too awesome and said go away and they did and then it was done.
4) No random killings
Non-player characters (NPCs) can be killed, unless they are essential or a companion or something similar. Player Characters (PCs) are not allowed to be killed without permission of the player.
5) Applications
You have to apply for a character to get them, to show an understanding of them. Use the given application's template for this, so as to save time. Once you're approved, you can join in. You are allowed 3 characters. They can be original characters.
6) Storylines
In the revamped Champions of Time RPGs, anybody can post a storyline. Post a thread, with the synopsis in the first post and go on from there. However, there are some rules:
- Any threads that are unsuitable, or we wish to be rethinked, will be removed. You'll be PMed as to why this has happened so it can be sorted.
- You need permission from admin before you can post in the Other Adventures section under Doctor Who RPG. You must send a synopsis and a list of which characters will be involved.
7) Character Interaction
With character interaction, you only do your character's part of the story. With this, you can make it a lot more interesting, and make it realistic. It should be like this:
Magic_Apron: The Doctor ran into Peri.
"There you are!"
Parrot_Girl: "Sorry Doctor! I found the Dalek's base though!"
8) Stay in Character
Never do something that your character wouldn't do. The Doctor wouldn't shoot all of UNIT. The Daleks wouldn't make cupcakes for the enemy (however tasty they may be). So always stay in character.
